David Christopher

... is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with over twenty years experience in the mental health field. His primary emphasis is working with individuals, couples and families in his private practice and he is a highly regarded lecturer.

Having effectively worked with thousands of clients, David is compassionate and thoughtful while taking a very active role as a therapist. Clients and colleagues consistently hold his work in high regard. As co-founder of the California Stepfamily Institute, he provides specialized therapy and support for stepfamilies.

On a personal level, David is married and the father of two great children. He is a passionate woodworker and furniture maker and teaches in the Cabinet and Furniture Technology Program at Palomar College. As a college athlete, he played water polo at the University of California, San Diego. Today he likes to play golf, basketball, and spend time with his family.
